Great Place! Food is very delicious! Staff is so kind. Chef is very professional! Love this place. This is the real Japanese food!
Don't think twice. Just go.
Yes.
Excellent experience. Cool area to walk around in too
Superb omakase, great value.
As a white guy with sub-par Japanese language skills, I definitely felt like a second class citizen: was over charged and given poor quality cuts.
The best sushi in Tokyo and probably in the entire world. Period.
High quality sushi, very nice atmosphere. Suggest to go for lunch, more affordable lunch menu
Amazing sushi, friendly staff, and nice deco. Will definitely visit again.
Literally my favorite sushi place in the city. I’ve been there several times. All the sushi chef rotate on a nightly basis— some serve, some are actually making the sushi. Each chef has a different style, so every time is a new experience. Definitely get a reservation beforehand because it can get packed even on a Tuesday night.
The keyaki 4,000 yen lunch set has a nice variety of sushi. All sushi has a nice proportion for a mouth bite (not too big). Every piece of sushi is tender, not chewy, although I did request not to have octopus. The pity is their two appetizers and miso soup. It seems easy for a Japanese restaurant to provide a decent quality, but unfortunately they didn’t care as much about these two items.
Great omakase place to eat at have to try!!!!!
So so.
$$$ is right. About $130 USD per person.Need reservation. But this is definitely one of the higher end restaurants that is worth trying at least once.Staff speaks a little English but it’s omakase so you don’t really need to speak much if you are worried about that. The food was fresh and delicious. It was pretty standard traditional Japanese style so not too many surprises except for how delicious everything was.Watching the master cuts and cooks was also somewhat mesmerizing. They have some good drink options too.In a few words, simple, delicate and delicious. I would recommend if friends are visiting and want a fancy Japanese meal.
Wonderful meal. Chef explained all the dishes and was very entertaining. Highly recommend.
Amazing experience and ambiance.
Came here for my birthday dinner, love every bite. Chef spoke a little English and he was very friendly. Made the experience very fun. Will definitely go back again.
Impeccable sushi, low key ambience. Standard, classy sushi restaurant vibe. It was good, very good, but did not exceed expectations or surprise in any way. Being critical, there was not enough variety.
High quality sushi! Pretty reasonable price
I believe they moved locations already but probably one of the best meals I’ve had in Tokyo. My local friend took me there and we chose the ¥3000 set menu which had 8 pieces omakase style. The food was amazing and not to mention the service. I literally cannot believe how fresh and juicy the fish pieces were 😵
Went for lunch. Omakase was 7500, and the fishes were no different than the 4000/5000 menu.
I loved it. Sushi are amazing !
Had a spectacular meal here with a little bit of everything (chu-toro, o-toro, abalone, uni, ika, scallops, and about 20 other tiny delicious courses). Can't recommend it enough. Not cheap at around 15,000 yen per person, but totally worth it.
Good sushi and very good value.
Best sushi of my entire life
Outstanding sushi and service.
Absolutely my favourite restaurant in Japan. Their service is spectacular and the omakase dinner is amazing value for your money. It’s a MUST for me every time I come to Japan!
Honestly, a fantastic sushi experience. I think I got the ¥4000 lunch set, but it was VERY filling and a ton of food for the price! Fish was super fresh and you can see everything prepared right in front of you. Everything was delicious, the chefs and waiters are very attentive. Service is excellent, I went at noon on a Saturday and the restaurant wasn’t too crowded. Reservations are required because you order what you want beforehand, and when you come in, you are immediately seated and your course can begin.
Incredible food, amazing service
It was my first sushi omakase ever, and it's quite expensive. But it was a great experience, with a lot of unexpected tastes from ingredients I thought i knew well.
This is an excellent high-class traditional sushi experience. They will make it all in front of you and it is very fresh.
Traditional and very high quality sushi. I like especially chutoro sushi. The flavor of the tuna fill your mouth and linger for minutes.
Awesome food. Great service.
Had the lunch omakase! Delicious! Value for money at 6000 yen!
Very high end sushi for a reasonable price! The staff were really friendly and made an effort to explain everything in English.
Great omasake experience! We were some 20+ dishes, mostly tasty and delicious!
Great high end sushi for a reasonable price
Exquisite
Priced about the same as other places which do omakase. However I don't think it especially stood out. There are better places nearby, even in Ebisu. They're also very strange about reservations...I called and reserved in Japanese. When I said my name (not a Japanese name) they sounded shocked, asked me to hold on, started talking about me being from abroad, etc. They got my number, accepted the reservation. They immediately called back to verify the number worked. I'm sure they wouldn't do that for Japanese.
If you’re not looking for the ordinary sashimi/nigiri sushi, this is one of the best sushi restaurants in Tokyo. I’ve gone there over ten times and they have always delivered over my already high expectations.
Amazing sushi!!Sit at one of the counters if possible to enjoy the chefs preparing the feast in front of you. Unlike most sushi restaurants with only 1 counter, they actually have a couple, including one upstairs. There's no food menu so our entire group ordered omakase. Was surprised by the amount of food. We started off with some sashimi and fish related dishes, before ending with ~10 or so nigiri. They also have a good selection of sake to complement the sushi.
We wanted to splurge on a high quality sushi meal and Matsue certainly surpassed our expectations. Sitting at the bar was a joy. Every piece was paced well and come with attention and though from our chef. This place has ruined American sushi for me because the quality and care was miles above anything we have experienced in the states. Must visit on my future trips to Tokyo!
Great sushi and sake, and managed gluten free perfectly.
I would recommend coming for lunch since its significantly cheaper than dinner. They have really good uni (sea urchin) so if you like uni get the set called kaede which comes with 8 pieces of sushi since it isn't included in the 7 piece set. I would also recommend making a reservation in advance.
Best sushi I’ve had so far in Tokyo!
It was alright. The fish was a bit hard and the sea urchin was stinky.
Best omakase experience. Amazing sushi and fantastic atmosphere
Great place with awesome sushi and reasonable price. It's a little expensive but it's totally worth it. Highly recommend. Making a reservation beforehand is recommended.
A traditional sushi restaurant. The sashimi and sushi were all fresh and tasted very good. The service was great. However, I was hoping for some surprises and it was kind of expensive.
Amazing sushi, great staff and reasonablyPrice! 🤤I had dinner omasake and had some fish which are available in Japan only! Make reservation beforehand!
